Muscle Scraping
Muscle scraping (also known as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, or IASTM) is a specialized technique that uses a smooth-edged tool to apply controlled pressure across the skin over muscles, tendons, and fascia. The scraping motion detects and breaks down adhesions, scar tissue, and fascial restrictions that form after injury, repetitive strain, or overuse.

This treatment is particularly beneficial for athletes and active individuals dealing with tendinopathies, repetitive stress injuries, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, or post-injury scar tissue. It's also effective for general muscle tightness and recovery. The tool amplifies Amanda's ability to feel and treat deeper restrictions. Expect the sensation to range from mild pressure to a more intense scraping feeling depending on the tissue involved. Mild skin redness is normal and indicates increased circulation in the treated area. Muscle scraping can be incorporated into any massage session.
